Welcome to the new Machines With Souls

Welcome to the all-new Machines With Souls. My blog has grown, and it's now easier to navigate. Still featuring my signature photography.

Machines With Souls

I used to think that, in order for me to be able to do what I love (take pictures of cars), I’d have to sell my soul. The internet is replete with automotive personalities who started out at major publications, writing about things that maybe didn’t matter so much to them. But that’s not what Machines With Souls is about.

A few months ago, it was my turn. I got my interview at a big automotive publication. The catch to work there? Shut down the blog. Sell my soul.

I guess I forgot my poker face at that remark, because one of the editors turned to me and said “It doesn’t matter, you’ll never be able to support yourself on a simple blog like you have…”

Maybe. But like the song says, I’m going to do it my way.

Now, you’ll find the site organized properly. Reviews, tutorials, and events. It’s easier to read and navigate. Ads are better integrated. And I remain as accessible as ever.

So sit back, relax, and read about automotive things that matter to me, and hopefully you too. And whether you’ve been with me from the beginning or just diving in, thank you.

Got an event or car you want me to cover? Reach out!

Thanks to mentor and friend André Mattis for building the site.

Dedication

This site is dedicated to my wife Corryn and my daughter Madison, who encourage and inspire me to chase my dreams. I would not have come this far without you.

Commissions may be received for product links on this site, so help out if you can. I only write about products I use and believe in.

I use Nikon camera bodies and lenses, a Westcott Ice Light 2, Manfrotto tripod, B + W filters and an iMac Pro to make the art you see here.
