A walk through J&B’s secret car show

J&B's secret car show was just that – a secret. See some of the incredible (and priceless) cars on display with a tour through my lens.

Long time readers may have noticed by now that I post less and less car show coverage every year. Sure, the NY auto show is big, and so is MPACT. But how many times can I post a picture of an M3 parked on grass? If I go to these events and cover it, it’s because it’s different. Special. Like J&B’s secret car show.

You weren’t invited.

J&B’s secret car show in the Bronx

Bronx

Where was it? Not telling you, although I can be general and say somewhere in the Bronx.

The venue was a parking garage at night, giving off Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift vibes. The J&B guys know how to put on a show – there was a pizza truck, music, good vibes, and a holy shit level tight turn to get in.

But the cars. Ready? Okay – where else can you go from this:

JDM cars
Some JDM K cars.

To this:

Ferrari, Porsche, BMW
The exact opposite, and presidents of the SUPER SERIOUS CLUB.

Within five feet of each other? Thanks to their wealth of contacts, the shop invited a very select group of clients (the M3 was there, but only half complete), to experience something really unique. Everything from a C2 Corvette, to an Audi RS 2 Avant and even an SSC (a former Shelby spinoff).

Ferrari Tributo

Given the ascetic of the garage, I decided to edit these with some noise and vintage color instead of the usual MWS polished look. It’s good to change things up a bit, just like car shows.

Let’s take a walk.

RWB

These are popping up more and more. Social media loves RWB builds, and so there’s a rush to get one. My take? Very cool. Artistic. Not worth the price tag.

RWB Porsche
An RWB-built 911.

Porsche

As you’d expect of a shop that focuses on Porsche, there were many.

Porsche 911 Dakar look alike
A 911 Dakar look alike.

Porsche 911 Dakar

911 Turbo
A 995 911 Turbo. I feel like I don’t see many of the last of the air-cooled Porsches.

911 Turbo

The other Germans

Lots of cool stuff, not from Stuttgart.

G Wagon
G-Wagons are neat.
Porsche
A Z3 M.
G80 M3
Hi! Only the front was finished but they were nice enough to pull it up for me.
Audi RS 6
An RS6, and yet not the coolest Audi Wagon because…
Audi S4
There was an Audi RS 2!
BMW M3
Adrian’s M3, now wrapped.
Audi S3
Nice RS 3.

Exotics

McLaren
Some McLarens in nice colors were there. J&B is one of the few certified to work on them in the country.

McLaren

Ferrari Tributo
A Ferrari F8 Tributo in a color you might not think of to paint it in.

Ferrari Tributo

Glickenhaus
This is an SSC Tuatara. It has over 1,300 horsepower (not electric), and it will do 330 miles per hour.

Glickenhaus

C2 Corvette
Right next to it was this, which is why I love these shows.

Thanks to Mike and Joe for putting this together!
